PUPPY KINDERGARTEN
We strongly recommend puppy kindergarten class for puppies
because this class will allow your puppy to meet and interact
with a variety of other people and dogs, explore a variety
of equipment and begin basic obedience. We also discuss
topics like housetraining (see Health & Training Tips),
nipping and how to get your puppy to settle down when excited.
Puppies work on the behaviors in modules 1/2.
MODULE 1 includes:
coming when called
greeting people politely
walking on a loose leash
asking politely for things
sit
down
leave it
tricks
MODULE 2 adds:
coming when called with distractions added
handling exercises- including stand, dead dog
(nail trim position) and teeth counting--your vet will love you!
wait
stay
targeting
go to place/settle down exercises
